Postdoctoral Open Position. Development of SPG&CHP Systems based on Polymeric Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells

MATGAS offers a postdoctoral research contract in the framework of a European funded project. The work will be performed in the context of the project “Long-life PEM-FCH & CHP systems at temperatures ≥100°C (LOLIPEM)”, funded by the 7^th Research Framework Programme of the European Union. The main objective of the LOLIPEM project is to give a clear demonstration that long-life SPG&CHP systems based on PEM-FCHs working at temperatures ≥ 100°C can now be implemented. The work to be developed at MATGAS, in collaboration with the LOLIPEM partners, involves the characterization and long-term testing of the membranes in hydrogen fuel cells. The postdoctoral candidate will be working in a multidisciplinary research centre, with access to last generation equipments, in an innovative and challenging atmosphere.

Postdoctoral Open Position in Computational Fluid Dynamics - Biomass Gasification

Within the framework of the BioSos CENIT project we offer a Postdoctoral Position to work in the field of biomass gasification.

The work will be mainly carried out at the research center MATGAS, in a unique environment where the efforts of the three MATGAS partners, the private company Carburos Metalicos (Air Products Group), the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), work together to contribute in a field of increasing interest and high relevance for the future. The candidate will be working on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in combination with experimental data measured in our laboratory and other facilities. The candidate will be also collaborating with some other research centers and companies in an open, innovative environment, within the framework of the project.

The candidates should hold a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Physics, Material Engineering, or related subjects and experience on Computational Fluids Dynamics longer than 3 years.

Within the framework of the SOST-CO2 CENIT project we offer a Postdoctoral position to work in the field of ionic liquids.

The work will be mainly carried out at the research center MATGAS, in a unique environment where the efforts of the three MATGAS partners, the private company Carburos Metalicos (Air Products Group), the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), work together to contribute in a field of increasing interest and igh relevance for the future. The candidate will be a member of the Molecular Simulation group (ICMAB-CSIC and MATGAS) and will be working on molecular modeling tools (theory and molecular simulations) in combination with experimental data measured in our laboratory.

The candidates should hold a degree in Chemical Engineering, Physics, Material Engineering, or related subjects.
