A project on capture and sustainable uses of CO₂, lead by Carburos Metálicos, has been selected by the CENIT program.

The CENIT project titled "New Industrial and Sustainable uses of CO₂- SOST-CO2" lead by CARBUROS METÁLICOS has been included in the final list of granted proposals by CDTI (Centre for Development of Industrial Technology) through the program Ingenio 2010.

Monty Alger with the Matgas' Team

Dr. Monty Alger, the new Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Air Products, visited MatGas' facilities.

During his visit he had the opportunity to see our five laboratories and meet our staff. He encouraged all of us to continue with enthusiasm our good job.

Dr. Ignasi Salvadó

On March the 3rd Dr. Ignasi Salvadó joined us as a Carburos employee with a Research Project Manager position in MatGas. The aim of this recruitment is to strengthen the research project management and external relations at MatGas. In addition, with him we will initiate research on CO2 photo-catalytic reduction.

Air Products' hydrogen fueling station in USA

Carburos Metálicos, belonging to Group Air Products and partner of MatGas, will supply hydrogen fuel at Expoagua Zaragoza 2008. This facility will produce on site hydrogen via electrolysis for the fueling of the special vehicles and buses that will run during the event. 

The hydrogen fueling station will have a supplying capacity of 40 kg/day of compressed hydrogen gas that will be produced by means of water electrolysis. It will have a maximum load of 108 kg of hydrogen, that in energetic terms is equivalent to 300 kg of gasoline (the fuel load corresponding to 6 conventional cars).
