INTRODUCTION TO LIFE CYCLE ANALYSIS

The course is suitable for science and engineering students, as well as for professionals interested in the field of sustainability. The participants will learn the basics to evaluate the environmental impact of a process over its whole life cycles. The total time of the course is 22.5 hours, divided in 4 theory classes (2 hours each), 3 practical classes with the dedicated software SimaPro® (3 hours each) and a 1-day workshop with internationally renowed experts in the field. The cost of the course is: UAB students (accredited): 75 € + VAT. no-UAB students:100 € + VAT. professionals: 200 € + VAT.   Once the course is approved, the UAB students will be awarded 1.5 free-choice credits. The course will start on 12 April 2010. The online registration will be open until the 31 March 2010.

Convalidable per 1.5 crèdits de lliure elecció de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona

El curs està dirigit a estudiants de ciències químiques i enginyeria, així com a persones interessades en temes de
sostenibilitat.

Els participants adquiriran els coneixements bàsics per avaluar l’impacte ambiental d’un procés al llarg de tot el seu cicle de vida.

El curs és de 22.5 hores i està dividit en 4 sessions teòriques de 2 hores, 3 sessions pràctiques de 3 hores amb el programa SimaPro® i un workshop d’ un dia con experts de prestígi internacionalment reconegut.

El preu de la matrícula és de:

• 75 € + IVA per estudiant UAB (acreditat).
• 100 € + IVA per estudiant no-UAB.
• 200 € +IVA per empreses.

Un cop aprovat el curs, els assistents rebran el certificat corresponent a 1.5 crèdits convalidables per la UAB.

El curs comença el 12 d’abril 2010.
