INTRODUCTION


MATGAS 2000 A.I.E.
is a research centre that developed from a close, long collaboration in R+D activities and projects between Carburos Metálicos, CSIC and UAB
MATGAS was created in other to benefite of the synergies of the partners and achieve its objectives of an easier and economic manner. Objectives like:
a) To set up a common and unique instrumental and organizational platform to develop R+D projects in the field of gases and materials
b) To manage and develop research projects of the partners.
c) To organize courses and congress in the field of gases and materials of common interest for all the partners.
d) To obtain public grants
e) To get experience of a joint management, between three different institutional models, a private company, a public university and a research centre.
f) To give service to the industrial fabric and to manage the innovation projects for third parties.
g) To promote the model of the centre to become a reference of collaboration between the public and private sector
h) To promote together emerging technologies of social and economic interest in which the materials and the gases play an important role, mainly in the fields of l' energy, electronics, communications and green chemistry

MATGAS is located in the UAB campus (Cerdanyola del Vallès)
The main activities are focused in the fields: Nanotecnology, energy, supercritical fluids, gas reactivity and simulation and modelling

MATGAS owns a management team specialised on research.

MATGAS follows a Quality System based on the norm ISO 9001:2000 which follows the continuous improvement, the process management and the client satisfaction.

MATGAS POLICY OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT

 

All the members of' the human team that works in MATGAS must have as an objective the profitability management of their research, services in other to achieve in the activity deploy the following:
• Documentary plan of their activities (research and services) to fulfil the requirements of the clients, and to establish relations to consolidate the mutual commitment, in other to achieve the client satisfaction
•The suitable contribution of resources to faithfully fulfil the commitments acquired, considering that the quality in the works are the base of future of the organization.
•Creating a work environment that promotes the commitment with the Quality, the Environment, the Prevention of labour risks and an implied responsibility of each worker in this Policy.
•To progress research, to develop projects and to render services that fulfils the legality, the applicable regulations, or other requirements that the organization has subscribed.
• Attending and to resolve problems, undertaking preventive or correctives actions in those situations that produce unsatisfactory processes or services, from the moment at which they are detected.
• A Continues Improvement of its processes, services and qualification of its personnel
• A permanent effort in the security criteria, labour health, maintenance and optimization work environment
• The commitment of the Direction in the global fulfilment of the Management of the implanted System.

MATGAS, This means that it exists: Structure of the QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM according to the the concepts of the methodology PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) so much in quality as environment. This means that there is

PLAN Structuring processes and to define objectives, to obtain results according to the Politics of the organization 
DO To implant and to maintain the processes, according to the planning 
CHECK To make a monitoring and control of the processes, on the basis of the Politics, the objectives, the data and the applicable regulation, always reporting of the results
