Two vacancies for the 'Ramón y Cajal' Programme print email

MATGAS offers two vacancies for "Ramón y Cajal" contracts, a Programme of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation aimed to hire young researchers  at research centers and universities.

One vacancy is aimed to work on theoretical modeling, jointly working with the different experimental lines of MATGAS and other collaborations.

The second one, is focused on the experimental part of our strategic lines, strengthen our research work on CO2 applications and sustainable energy.

June 22, 2010. Lourdes Vega, director of MATGAS and director of the Carburos R&D department, presented her book "El CO2 como recurso: de la captura a los usos industriales" (CO2 as a resource: from capture to industrial uses).

Post-doctoral Open Position. Development of SPG&CHP Systems based on Polymeric Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells print email

MATGAS offers a postdoctoral research contract in the framework of a European funded project. The work will be performed in the context of the project “Long-life PEM-FCH & CHP systems at temperatures ≥100°C (LOLIPEM)”, funded by the 7th Research Framework Programme of the European Union.

The main objective of the LOLIPEM project is to give a clear demonstration that long-life SPG&CHP systems based on PEM-FCHs working at temperatures ≥ 100°C can now be implemented. The work to be developed at MATGAS, in collaboration with the LOLIPEM partners, involves the characterization and long-term testing of the membranes in hydrogen fuel cells. The postdoctoral candidate will be working in a multidisciplinary research centre, with access to last generation equipments, in an innovative and challenging atmosphere.
